The child inside
A mystery to many
The way it grows
And enters society
The mother can feel it
And the child senses the mother
As they go through months together
But some mothers don’t bother
The child inside
Develops rapidly
Living and growing
So wonderfully
The child inside
Incapable of anger
Feels excruciating pain
And recognizes danger
The child inside
Murdered somehow
The merciful Lord knows
And will take care of it now
The mother can feel it
And the child senses the mother
As they go through months together
Sadly, some mothers don’t bother

You write so well, I have you on my blog role on word press..God bless you.
Thank you for the encouraging words and for listing me! I've been writing poetry since I was a teenager, so some of these poems date as far back as the 1990s. I've written a blog post at Happy Moms, Happy Homes about "Discovering Your Potential" where I mention my desire to write poetry http://happymomshappyhomes.blogspot.com/2012/02/discovering-your-potential-part-3-of-5.html
